The article explores the integration of the narrative approach, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Life Designing as a theoretical and methodological framework for fostering inclusive educational pathways. From this perspective, the picturebook-designed in accordance with UDL principles and enriched with a purposeful narrative structure-emerges as an effective and versatile pedagogical tool. Through the multimodal language of images and the evocative power of storytelling, the picturebook supports the development of emotional awareness, empathy, and well-being at both individual and collective levels. Its ability to engage all children-regardless of ability, background, or learning style-positions it as a bridge between diversity and participation. Furthermore, it promotes self-determination, a sense of belonging, and personal growth within school settings that are welcoming, attentive to individual differences, and committed to nurturing each learner’s potential. In this way, the picturebook becomes a powerful vehicle for inclusion and well-being, generating meaningful educational experiences that contribute to the holistic development of the person.
