In the face of a growing disenchantment that seems to characterize our societies, it is possible to see a return of attention to imaginative and contemplative dimensions, defined differently depending on the different stages of life considered. While childhood is still considered an enchanted state, and where some experiences of wonder could indicate a state of illness — think of the stupor that characterizes mental illness — imagination returns to the center of the debate, indicating a faculty of mediation between the real world and the imaginal world, from which it may still be possible to encounter, experience, and live experiences of enchantment, wonder, and contemplation.
